Proposal for COLLABORATING with
Other Authors on the B-66 Destroyer
Aircraft and Related Topics

This is a call to all who are interested in leaving a complete history of the B-66, its mission and its people. Anyone with information and stories to share are invited to participate.

I am looking for collaborators for a book or article on the history of the B-66 Destroyer aircraft (any or all versions), mission, personnel, and contributions to national defense.

Here are some examples of subject matter:

· A documentary about the history of the B-66 from it’s inception to its final disposition, including organizations, campaigns, missions, and/or personnel (including POWs). (See: The Rescue of Bat 21 by Darrel D. Whitcomb)

 · Systematic examination of how the U.S. Department of Defense and subordinate major commands’ viewed B-66 contributions to particular campaigns, e.g., Cuban Crisis, Rolling Thunder, Linebacker, Vietnam War, etc.

· Problems and challenges B-66 manufacturer (McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft Company), Department of Defense and/or Air Force command, operational, maintenance personnel and/or crewmembers experienced and how the problems were resolved.

Different kinds of collaborators welcome:

Collaborators may well be “novices” in publishing or media fields but be expert in other fields (such as military aviation) or collaborators may be well known because of activities in the B-66 aircraft, its mission, personnel and/or worldwide contributions to US national defense, tactical reconnaissance and/or electronic warfare.

Note: It is envisioned that the material published on the B-66 Destroyer Historical website (www.B66.info) and other websites and publications would be used with the original author’s approval.

Ghostwriting

Generally, if I work with another author helping him or her write a book or article based on his or her own content, the book will appear in that author’s name with me identified as a contributor or editor. I will neither write “secretly” in someone else’s name, use a pen name (pseudonym), nor pass another’s work off as mine. Copyright ownership and royalties would be worked out by contract between us..

If interested in authoring B-66 books or articles using material on the B66.info website, please contact me.
